What I Want for Art Therapists

I write a lot about art therapists and the art therapy field.

Why?

Because I want more for art therapists.

I want art therapists to know they can do the work they love without sacrificing their own emotional, mental, or financial welfare.

I want art therapists to make substantial, reliable income.

I want art therapists to make income that pays for health insurance, student loans, retirements, vacations, and more.

I want art therapists to have client caseloads that are energetically sustainable.

I want art therapists to choose the client population they work with.

I want art therapists to have work schedules tailored to their energetic needs.

I want art therapists to look forward to going to work.

I want art therapists to feel calm and unhurried in their day.

I want art therapists to have extra time - to self-educate, process, or take a nap.

I want art therapists to have energy after work.

I want art therapists who feel they have extra creativity just for themselves.

I want art therapists to know they can pursue and develop their specialities.

I want art therapists to trust they can design their own unique blend of groups, individual sessions, workshops, and whatever else their heart dreams up.

I want art therapists to feel confident in their therapeutic work.

I want art therapists to know they can bring their unique offerings to the world.

I want more art therapists in the world.

And I want those therapists to know that the powerful work they provide can also provide for them.

I'm committed to making these things happen and provide consultation

for art therapists who want to create their ideal private practices.
