Ever since the one year anniversary of my mum's death in February, I've been too overwhelmed with emotions to work on my illustrated book, "Grief Sucks." Many of the emotions I wanted to depict just felt too close to home.
I am now ready to pick back up the project. In fact, I made an illustration today. It's about how random things can remind us of the person we lost:
In addition, grief is theme this week my Baby Bird website, in which I collaborate with others. I've asked people to share positive and negative ways they cope with grief. I'll be making those ideas into cartoons to be included in the book.
Thus, I hope to make some serious headway over the next month and I'll be sharing my progress with you shortly!
