Info: Made 2017. "Let Go" is one of ten paintings in my series, "Sky Takes Form." I started this painting intending to make bright stripes of color. However, I soon couldn't resist dabbing strokes of color. I never intended to make a sunset full of cloudy skies, but it beautifully emerged. This painting is a reminder to me that I don't need to conceptualize and control my paintings from the beginning. When I let go, beautiful things emerge on their own.
