Info: Made 2017. "Clear Conscience" is one of twelve paintings in my series, "Layers." This painting began with an experimental Iayer of watercolor on canvas. I had never tried this before. I enjoyed the process, but I didn't like the result. I then decide to paint coats of transparent coats of white over the watercolor. I think this is symbolic of our lives as we try to move forward but still remain honest about who we are.
